HAVE QUESTIONS?

We'd love to help.
Insurance: What are my rights?
We work with all insurance companies to make sure that when involved in an accident, the transition and repair are seamless.  Insurance companies will often make recommendations on where to have your repairs done; these are most likely shops with which they are familiar. These “familiar” shops will often know your insurance company’s process and how they operate. Because of this, it often eliminates the need for insurance companies to send out adjusters to a location. However, you can take comfort knowing that, as the policy holder, you are allowed to choose whatever shop you wish for repairs.  Your insurance is obligated to send out an adjuster as well as provide all the necessary forms to complete the claim. We are an independently owned shop. We are not a large conglomerate with multiple locations, so it is critically important to us that every repair we make is of the highest quality and workmanship, so that our good reputation precedes us. We will work closely with both, the vehicle owners and their insurance company, to assure that they are both happy with the outcome of the repairs.
What is a deductible?
A deductible is the amount that is paid out-of-pocket by the policy holder. This amount is usually chosen by the policy holder when establishing the cost of their monthly premium. Although the amounts range from small to large, it is common to see deductibles that are $250, $500, or $1000. In some cases there is no deductible owed by the policy holder, depending on their policy, claim, or nature of the accident. Refer to your insurance policy to determine if you have a deductible and/or how much it is.
Do I owe my deductible to the insurance company or the shop?
If your claim is covered, then your insurance will issue payment to cover the cost of repairs. The amount they pay to the shop is determined by the “total cost” of repairs minus the deductible owed by the policy holder. Therefore, your deductible will be owed to the shop for the remaining cost of repairs. For example: If the total cost for repairs is $1,500 and the deductible is $500, then the insurance company will pay the shop $1,000 and the remaining $500 is paid by policy holder.
How long will my repairs take?
The length of repairs usually depends on the amount of damage. Because the majority of jobs will include dry times for paint and/or primer, we usually see a minimum of 2 to 3 days. Keep in mind that insurance jobs will often drag out the process just because we have to wait for approval for repairs or any supplements that may arise.
What are the differences between OEM, Aftermarket, and Used parts?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are made by the original manufacturer of your vehicle e.g. GMC, Chevrolet, Toyota, Chrysler, etc. Used parts are also original OEM parts, however these parts have been taken off of another vehicle of similar make and model. Aftermarket parts are simply new parts that are not made by the original manufacturer.
What are supplements?
Supplements only apply to insurance claims. When a claim is first reported, an estimate will be written detailing the repairs needed and the total cost. That initial estimate is used to begin the process of repairs and initiate payment from the insurance. It is important to note that on many claims with significant damage, the initial estimate is often inaccurate. The is due to the fact that some damages cannot be seen until other parts are removed. This is where a supplement is issued to the insurance to cover the additional damage found not listed in the initial estimate. Supplements can delay the time of a repair, but rest assured that though the insurance payout may change, your deductible will remain the same.
I want to put aftermarket parts on my vehicle. And are these good quality parts?
Because aftermarket parts are not made by the original manufacturer they are usually more cost effective. This is good option for someone wanting to save money. Rest assured that our aftermarket suppliers provide good quality parts that come with their own warranty. However the only risk is that sometimes these parts do not fit like an OEM part. This is usually not the case but it does occasionally happen. In the event that happens, the only solutions are to either modify the part or to purchase used or OEM parts.
